Wohl jeder weiß, wie es sich anfühlt verliebt zu sein, einen als attraktiv empfundenen Menschen zu begehren, ihn womöglich zu verführen oder von ihm verführt zu werden - und wie tief befriedigend die körperliche Liebe sein kann. Das Bedürfnis nach Nähe, Intimität und Sex gilt manchen Zeitgenossen sogar als der eigentliche Motor des Lebens. Schließlich verdanken wir ihm unsere Existenz.
Natürlich wird die Sexualität des Menschen durch viele äußere und innere Faktoren geprägt: persönliche Disposition und Erfahrung, Erleben und hormonelle Einflüsse in verschiedenen Entwicklungsphasen, Erziehung und gesellschaftliche Normen. Dennoch scheint es sinnvoll, sexuelle Lust einmal aus Sicht der Neurobiologie zu betrachten ...
